Use the "Add new.." button in the "news" section of your team page after logging in to take you to the news editor. Make sure to review the public checkbox before saving if you want to restrict visibility and access to your team's logged in users only, or leave it unchecked to share your news item with the UPIA community and the world. Besides this access control there are various other options and settings for each news item:
- Author: Name of the news items author. Choose your name from list of members in the pulldown menu.
- News Type: Depending on your choice the news form will change to show or hide additional fields. Current news types besider regular blog/news items include classified ads, external links/news/media and community questions.
- Text: This is the main text of the news item, which is limited to 1000 characters. If you run out of space use the "Text 2" field to continue writing.
- Textfield 2: Continue your Text from Field 1 here if you hit the 1000 Characters limit.
- Image: You can add a image for each news item that will be displayed in a predefined size.
- Fileupload: you can also add a document for download to your news item. Use this field to share files like PDF's, office documents or compressed archives.
- Link: You can add an additional external link to your news item. USe this field to link to third party sites
- Send news via e-mail: You can optionally send out notifications and a link to your news item to your users or individual subgroups. Requires correct e-mail adresses in the mebers list.
You have to be listed as a member of the team in the "members" section of the team page. if your're not listed click the "Add new member" button to add yourself to the list of members.
The team page will only list the latest 3 news items. You can find a full list of current and past entries in the "news" section where you can view all your past and deleted news items.
Everyone listed under in the "members" section of your team page thats logged into your team page using the users or administrators login/password. The users login can be shared amongst team members, ask your administrator or teammates if you don't know the login/password combo

Yes, once logged in you'll be able to delete items. Deleted items are excluded from display on your pages, but remain accessible in the "News -> Deleted" section of your team page.
All attachments and images of deleted news items remain on the server, even after deletion. if you wish to completely delete news items and related files, write us a mail and we'll gladly deleted stuff for you.
If you add images to items the get automatically resized to fit our layout conventions. You can add your images to a separate media collection if you wish to highlight them in a gallery view.
Documents or links added to news or calendar items are visible in detail view only. click the magnyfiying glass icon, "read more.." link or the title of a news/calendar item to take you to it's detail view.
